Possible Causes

Leaking door seal, Loose or cracked tub-to-pump hose, Leaking detergent drawer or inlet hose, Activated float switch in base

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off water supply. Water in the base can contact live parts.

  • Step 1 – Check for visible leaks: Look around the door seal, detergent drawer, and rear hoses for drips or water trails. Tighten hose connections and replace damaged hoses or seals.
  • Step 2 – Inspect base tray: Carefully tilt the machine slightly backward and look underneath. If water is present in the base tray, absorb it with towels or a sponge. Locate the float switch (usually a polystyrene float and microswitch) and ensure it moves freely.
  • Step 3 – Run a test fill: With panels removed and base dried, reconnect power and water. Run a short fill-only test while observing for leaks from the tub, pump, or hoses. Stop immediately if a leak appears and repair the source (replace door gasket, tub-to-pump hose, or pump seal as needed).
  • Step 4 – Reset error: After fixing the leak and drying the base, the anti-flood switch should reset automatically. If E13 remains with a dry base, test the float switch for continuity; replace if stuck or faulty.
