Possible Causes
Open or shorted wash NTC sensor, Damaged wiring to NTC, Faulty dryer NTC sensor (if error occurs in drying), Control board analog input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing sensors.
- Step 1 – Identify which NTC: If E14 occurs during washing, focus on the wash NTC at the tub heater. If during drying, focus on the dryer NTC on the air duct.
- Step 2 – Test NTC resistance: Disconnect the NTC connector. Measure resistance at room temperature (commonly 20–30 kΩ). Warm the sensor slightly and confirm resistance decreases smoothly. If open, shorted, or erratic, replace the NTC.
- Step 3 – Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the NTC to the Fagor control board for cuts, burns, or loose pins. Repair or replace as necessary.
- Step 4 – Control board: If a known-good NTC and wiring still produce E14, the PCB input circuit may be defective and require professional repair or replacement.
