Possible Causes

Partially blocked pump filter, Partially clogged drain hose, Weak drain pump, Siphoning due to incorrect drain hose installation

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and prepare for water spillage when opening the filter.

  • Step 1 – Clean pump filter thoroughly: Open the pump filter flap, drain residual water, and remove the filter. Clean all debris and check deeper inside for obstructions.
  • Step 2 – Check drain hose routing: Ensure the drain hose rises to the recommended height (usually 60–90 cm) before entering the standpipe. If too low, water can siphon out and confuse level sensing.
  • Step 3 – Flush drain hose: Disconnect the hose from the standpipe and flush it with water to remove internal buildup.
  • Step 4 – Evaluate pump performance: During a drain test (with panels removed and observing safely), check that water exits strongly. If the pump is noisy, weak, or intermittent, replace the Fagor drain pump.
