Frequent low-temperature washes, Residual detergent and softener in tub, Blocked drain causing stagnant water, Dirty door seal and detergent drawer
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before cleaning internal parts.
- Step 1 – Run maintenance wash: Run an empty 90°C cotton cycle with a washing machine cleaner or 1–2 cups of white vinegar to kill bacteria and dissolve residues.
- Step 2 – Clean door seal: Wipe the Fagor door gasket folds with a cloth soaked in mild bleach solution. Remove lint and slime.
- Step 3 – Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and wash it thoroughly. Clean the housing with a brush to remove mould.
- Step 4 – Improve ventilation: Leave the door and drawer slightly open between uses to allow drying and prevent odour build-up.
