Washer-dryer is very noisy during spin; banging or rumbling sounds from drum area.

Safety first: Unplug the appliance. Spinning components can cause injury.

• Step 1 – Manual drum check: Spin the drum by hand. A rough, grinding noise or excessive side play indicates bearing wear. A clunking sound may indicate a broken spider or loose drum weights.
• Step 2 – Inspect shocks and springs: Remove rear or side panels and check Fagor shock absorbers and suspension springs. Replace any leaking or weak shocks.
• Step 3 – Check for foreign objects: Look through the heater opening (if removed) or sump hose for bra wires, coins, or screws trapped between drum and tub. Remove carefully.
• Step 4 – Bearing replacement: If bearings are noisy or loose, the tub must be dismantled and bearings and seal replaced, or the complete tub assembly changed. This is a complex repair best done by an experienced technician.
