How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before servicing the dryer circuit.
- Check for airflow: Start a dry cycle and listen for the dryer fan. If the fan does not run but no error appears until E19, the fan motor or its supply may be faulty.
- Inspect thermal fuse: Access the dryer heater housing and locate the thermal fuse. Test for continuity; replace if open.
- Check fan motor: Test the Fisher & Paykel dryer fan motor for continuity and free rotation. Replace if seized or open.
- Control board relay: If heater and fan are good, the main control board dryer relay may not be energizing. Inspect the board for burnt relay contacts and replace the board if necessary.
