Washer-dryer combo door will not lock at the start of a cycle; E7 is displayed and cycle will not begin.

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the door lock or front panel.

• Check door closure: Ensure no clothing is trapped between the door seal and glass. Firmly close the door until you hear a positive click.
• Inspect door strike: Examine the plastic or metal door strike on the door edge. If cracked or loose, tighten screws or replace the strike.
• Listen for lock operation: Start a cycle and listen for a click from the lock area. If there is no sound and E7 appears, the lock may not be energizing.
• Access door lock: Remove the front panel or door seal clamp to reach the Fisher & Paykel door lock assembly. Check the wiring connector for looseness or damage.
• Replace door lock: Unscrew the lock from the front panel, disconnect wiring, and install the new lock in the same orientation. Refit the seal and clamp carefully to avoid leaks.
• Control board check: If a new lock does not resolve the issue, the main control board may not be sending power to the lock and should be tested by a technician.
