• Manual release: Many Fisher & Paykel combos have a manual door release tab accessible through the pump filter door or lower front panel. Consult the user guide; pull the tab gently to mechanically release the lock.
• Inspect lock assembly: Once the door is open and power is off, remove the door seal clamp and access the lock. Check for signs of overheating or broken plastic.
• Replace lock if faulty: Install a new Fisher & Paykel door lock assembly, ensuring all wiring is secure and routed correctly. Refit the seal and test operation.
