Possible Causes
Unbalanced load causing spin cancellation, Clogged Fisher & Paykel drain pump filter, Faulty pressure sensor not detecting empty tub, Worn motor or belt slipping
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing the pump or internal components.
- Redistribute and re-spin: Open the door, redistribute the load, and run a spin-only cycle at maximum speed.
- Check drain performance: If water remains in the drum, clean the drain pump filter and inspect the drain hose for blockages.
- Inspect belt: Remove the rear panel and check the Fisher & Paykel drive belt for slipping or wear. Replace if loose or damaged.
- Pressure sensor: If the machine never reaches high spin, the pressure sensor may not be signaling an empty tub. Inspect the pressure hose and sensor as described in earlier steps.
