Washer-dryer combo will not start; display is on but pressing Start does nothing and no code appears.

Safety first: Ensure the drum is empty of water before extended troubleshooting.

• Check door and lock: Close the door firmly until you hear a click. Look for a door-locked indicator on the display.
• Disable child lock: If a key or lock symbol is lit, hold the designated buttons (refer to user manual) for several seconds to disable child lock.
• Test Start button: Try selecting a different cycle and pressing Start. If the button feels stuck or unresponsive, the user interface may be faulty.
• Inspect door lock: Unplug the unit, access the Fisher & Paykel door lock, and test the lock switch for continuity when engaged. Replace the lock if the switch is open.
