Possible Causes

Leaking tub-to-pump hose, Cracked drain pump housing, Loose or damaged door boot (bellows), Faulty air trap or pressure switch hose

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit and shut off water supply. Be prepared for water spillage when inspecting hoses.

  • Check for visible leaks: Remove the lower front access panel (or rear panel depending on model). Use a flashlight to inspect the base pan for standing water and trace any drips back to their source.
  • Inspect tub-to-pump hose: Look for cracks, splits, or loose clamps on the large black hose from the outer tub to the drain pump. Tighten clamps or replace the hose if damaged.
  • Inspect drain pump: Check the Frigidaire drain pump body for cracks or signs of leakage around the seal. If water is seeping from the pump, it must be replaced.
  • Check door boot (bellows): Open the door and carefully inspect the rubber bellows for tears, holes, or mold-eaten spots. Also check the outer clamp ring for looseness. Replace the bellows if any damage is found.
  • Dry the base and reset: Mop up all water from the base pan and allow the area to dry completely. Reassemble panels, restore power and water, and run a short cycle while watching for leaks.

If leaks persist or you cannot locate the source, stop using the unit and call a professional to prevent water damage.
