• Access pressure sensor: Remove the top panel. Locate the round or rectangular pressure sensor mounted near the side wall or control board with a small rubber hose attached.
• Inspect pressure hose: Check the hose from the sensor down to the air trap on the tub for kinks, cracks, or disconnections. Replace if brittle or damaged.
• Clear air trap: At the tub end, remove the hose and inspect the plastic air dome/air trap for detergent buildup or lint. Clean thoroughly with warm water and a small brush.
• Check electrical connector: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated and free of corrosion.
• Replace sensor if needed: If E31 persists after cleaning and hose inspection, replace the Frigidaire pressure sensor by disconnecting the hose and wiring, removing mounting screws, and installing the new part.
