How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before handling wiring.
- Inspect harness routing: Ensure the harness from the lock to the control is not pinched by the cabinet or rubbing on sharp edges.
- Clean and secure connectors: Unplug connectors at both the lock and control board, spray with electrical contact cleaner, and reconnect firmly.
- Wiggle test: With the unit running (technician only), gently move the harness to see if the error can be induced. If so, replace the harness.
- Replace door lock or control: If wiring is sound, replace the door lock assembly first. If E45 persists, the main control board may be at fault.
