Possible Causes
Closed or clogged water supply valve, Blocked inlet hose filter screens, Defective water inlet valve assembly, Faulty water level pressure sensor or wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close the water supply taps before working on hoses or valves.
- 1. Verify water supply: Ensure both hot and cold taps (if present) are fully open. Check household water pressure by opening a nearby faucet.
- 2. Clean inlet hose filters: Turn off taps, unscrew the inlet hoses from the rear of the washer-dryer, and remove the small mesh filters inside the valve ports. Rinse under running water and remove debris. Reinstall filters and hoses securely.
- 3. Inspect inlet hoses: Check for kinks, crushing, or internal blockage. Replace damaged hoses.
- 4. Test water inlet valve: With power disconnected, remove the top cover, locate the water inlet valve assembly, and inspect for cracks, leaks, or burnt connectors. Use a multimeter to check coil resistance; an open circuit indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
- 5. Check pressure sensor and hose: Locate the water level pressure sensor and its thin air hose. Ensure the hose is not kinked, split, or blocked with detergent residue. Clean or replace as needed.
- 6. If E02 remains: After reassembly, restore power and test. Persistent E02 with good water supply and a new valve suggests a control module or sensor fault; contact a Gaggenau-authorized technician.
