Possible Causes
Faulty water flow meter (if fitted), Partially blocked inlet valve, Low household water pressure, Kinked or restricted inlet hose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close water taps before disconnecting hoses.
- 1. Confirm water pressure: Open a nearby tap to ensure adequate flow. Very low pressure can trigger E14.
- 2. Check inlet hoses and filters: Inspect hoses for kinks and clean the mesh filters at the valve inlets as described for E02.
- 3. Inspect flow meter: Some Gaggenau models use a flow meter integrated with the inlet assembly. Access the inlet valve area and look for a small sensor with wiring on the water path. Ensure the connector is secure.
- 4. Replace flow meter/inlet assembly: If hoses and filters are clear but E14 persists, replace the inlet valve/flow meter assembly with the correct part for your model.
- 5. Control check: If a new assembly does not resolve the issue, the control module may not be reading the flow pulses correctly and should be checked professionally.
