Possible Causes

Dirty or coated moisture sensor bars, Broken moisture sensor wiring, Faulty moisture sensor module, Control module misreading sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before cleaning internal sensor contacts.

  • 1. Locate moisture sensors: Inside the drum, identify the metal strips or bars (usually near the door opening) used for moisture detection.
  • 2. Clean sensor bars: Using a non-abrasive sponge and a mild detergent solution, scrub the bars to remove fabric softener and detergent film. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry.
  • 3. Check wiring: From behind the front panel, trace the wires from the sensor bars to the control or sensor module. Ensure connectors are secure and wires undamaged.
  • 4. Test drying: Run a timed drying cycle and then an automatic cycle. If E19 persists and drying ends prematurely, the moisture sensor assembly or control module may require replacement.
