Possible Causes
Frequent low-temperature washes, Residual detergent and softener in seal and tub, Poor ventilation after use, Clogged drain causing stagnant water
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use appropriate cleaning agents and avoid mixing chemicals (e.g., bleach and acids).
- 1. Clean door seal: Wipe the seal folds with a cloth soaked in a mild bleach solution or dedicated washer cleaner. Remove visible mold and residue.
- 2. Run maintenance cycle: Run an empty 90°C wash with a washer cleaner or a cup of washing machine descaler to clean the tub and hoses.
- 3. Clean detergent drawer: Remove the drawer and scrub away residue and mold. Clean the housing as well.
- 4. Improve ventilation: After each use, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow drying.
- 5. Check drain system: Clean the drain filter to prevent stagnant water.
