How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before opening the control console.
- Check ribbon cable: Remove the console cover and locate the flat ribbon cable between the UI and main board. Carefully disconnect and inspect for cracks or kinks. Reinstall firmly.
- Dry and clean: If condensation or detergent has entered the console, allow it to dry completely and gently clean any residue from the board surface.
- Inspect UI board: Look for burnt components or corrosion. If present, replace the GE user interface board.
- Main board check: If a new UI board does not resolve E92, the main control board may not be driving the display correctly. Replace the GE main control board as a last resort.
