Possible Causes
Broken or slipped drive belt, Seized idler pulley, Failed drive motor, Obstruction jamming drum
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before working near the drum.
- Check drum by hand: Open the door and try to rotate the drum. If it spins freely, the belt may be broken. If it is stuck, look for obstructions.
- Inspect belt and pulleys: Remove the rear panel to view the belt, idler pulley, and motor pulley. Replace a broken belt with the correct GE drive belt and ensure the idler spins freely.
- Motor test: If the belt is intact but the motor does not run in dry mode, test the motor and motor control as described for motor errors.
