Possible Causes
Loose tub-to-pump hose clamp, Cracked drain hose, Failed tub seal, Leaking water inlet hose or valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and shut off water supply. Water on the floor can be a slip hazard.
- Identify leak source: Remove the rear or lower front panel and run a short fill/drain cycle while observing with a flashlight (keep clear of moving parts).
- Check hoses: Tighten clamps on the tub-to-pump and pump-to-drain hoses. Replace any cracked or swollen hoses with OEM GE hoses.
- Inspect inlet connections: Verify the water inlet hoses are tight at both the wall and the GE water inlet valve. Replace washers if dripping.
- Tub seal: If water appears at the center rear of the tub where the shaft exits, the main tub seal may be leaking, requiring replacement of the GE rear tub assembly.
