Possible Causes

Clogged inlet filter screens at water valve, Defective Gorenje water inlet valve assembly, Low or no water supply pressure, Faulty water level (pressure) sensor or wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance and close the water supply taps before working on hoses or valves.

  • Check household water supply: Ensure both hot and cold taps feeding the washer-dryer are fully open and that there is normal water pressure at the faucet.
  • Clean inlet filters: Turn off water, unscrew the inlet hoses from the back of the Gorenje combo. Inside the valve ports you will see small mesh filters. Gently pull them out with needle-nose pliers, rinse under running water, and remove any debris. Reinstall filters and hoses securely.
  • Inspect inlet hoses: Check for kinks, crushing, or internal blockage. Replace damaged hoses.
  • Test a quick cycle: Restore water and power, run a rinse or quick wash. If E1 persists, the inlet valve coil may be faulty.
  • Check inlet valve electrically (advanced): With power disconnected, remove the top cover, locate the water inlet valve assembly, and test coil resistance with a multimeter. Open or shorted coils indicate a bad valve that should be replaced with a compatible Gorenje inlet valve.

If you are not comfortable using a multimeter or removing panels, contact a qualified technician.
