Possible Causes

Blocked pressure chamber or pressure hose, Faulty water level (pressure) sensor, Loose or corroded wiring to pressure sensor, Control module misreading level signal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and close water taps before opening the cabinet.

  • Check for over-sudsing: Too much or non-HE detergent can cause foam that confuses the level sensor. Run a rinse/spin with no detergent to clear suds.
  • Inspect pressure hose (advanced): Remove the top cover. Locate the round pressure sensor (usually near a side wall) with a thin rubber hose attached. Ensure the hose is firmly connected and not cracked or kinked.
  • Clean pressure chamber: Follow the hose down to the tub connection. If accessible, remove and flush the hose with warm water to clear soap residue or lint. Refit securely.
  • Visual check of sensor: Look for signs of moisture ingress or burning on the pressure sensor connector. Reseat the plug.
  • Test operation: Reassemble, restore power, and run a short cycle. If E3 persists, the pressure sensor or control board may need replacement.

Because incorrect water level control can cause flooding, if cleaning the hose does not resolve the issue, have a professional evaluate the pressure sensor and control module.
