Frequent low-temperature washes, Residual detergent and softener in tub and hoses, Standing water in door seal folds, Clogged drain causing stagnation

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Use only cleaning agents approved for washing machines and follow label instructions.

  • Run a hot maintenance wash: Run an empty 90°C cycle with a washing machine cleaner or white vinegar (if permitted by Gorenje guidelines) to kill bacteria and dissolve residues.
  • Clean door seal: Wipe the gasket folds with a cloth soaked in mild detergent or diluted bleach solution. Rinse thoroughly.
  • Clean detergent drawer: Remove and wash the drawer and housing to remove mold and residue.
  • Leave door open: After each use, leave the door and detergent drawer slightly open to allow ventilation and drying.
