Possible Causes

Clogged drain pump filter, Blocked drain hose, Foreign object in drain pump impeller, Failed drain pump motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the machine. Water may spill when opening the filter; keep towels and a shallow tray ready.

  • Step 1 – Access drain filter: Open the lower service flap on the front of the Gram washer-dryer. Place a tray under the filter cap. Slowly unscrew the cap to let water drain out in a controlled way.
  • Step 2 – Clean filter and pump cavity: Remove lint, coins, buttons, and other debris from the filter and from inside the pump housing. Check that the pump impeller turns freely by hand.
  • Step 3 – Inspect drain hose: Check the external drain hose for kinks, crushing, or blockage. Detach it from the standpipe or sink connection and flush it through with water.
  • Step 4 – Test drain function: Refit the filter securely, reconnect the hose, plug in the machine, and run a drain or spin-only program. Listen for the pump running and check if water exits the drain hose.
  • Step 5 – Check pump electrically: If the pump is silent or just hums, disconnect power, remove the front or rear panel to access the drain pump assembly. Verify wiring connections. Use a multimeter to check pump coil resistance; an open or shorted coil indicates a failed pump that must be replaced.

If the pump and hoses are clear but E03 persists, the issue may be with the main control PCB not powering the pump; this should be evaluated by a technician.
