Drum does not rotate during wash or spin; humming noise may be heard; E07 shown on display.

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from mains. Moving parts and sharp edges are present inside.

• Step 1 – Check drum movement: With the machine off, rotate the drum by hand. It should turn smoothly without grinding. If it is seized, the problem may be mechanical (bearing or foreign object) rather than motor electrical.
• Step 2 – Access motor: Remove the rear panel. Locate the drive motor at the bottom of the tub, connected by a belt.
• Step 3 – Inspect belt: Ensure the drive belt is intact and properly tensioned on both the motor pulley and drum pulley. Replace if broken or badly worn.
• Step 4 – Check motor connections: Disconnect the motor plug and inspect for burnt pins or loose contacts. Examine the wiring harness for damage.
• Step 5 – For brushed motors – inspect brushes: If your Gram model uses a carbon-brush motor, remove the brushes and check their length. If they are worn down to a few millimetres, replace both brushes with the correct Gram-compatible set.
• Step 6 – For brushless motors – check tachometer/inverter: Test the tachometer sensor (if accessible) for continuity and secure mounting. If the motor and wiring are good but E07 persists, the inverter/drive module or main PCB may be defective.
