Possible Causes
Blocked condenser causing poor heat exchange, Faulty moisture sensor bars, Loose moisture sensor wiring, Control PCB moisture sensing circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before working on the dryer system.
- Step 1 – Clean condenser thoroughly: Remove the condenser unit (if user-accessible) and flush with warm water until all lint is removed. Clean the housing and seals.
- Step 2 – Clean moisture sensor bars: Inside the drum, locate the metal sensor strips (usually near the door opening). Clean them with a soft cloth and mild detergent to remove detergent film that can insulate them.
- Step 3 – Inspect sensor wiring: From the front or bottom access, trace the wires from the moisture sensor bars to the control board. Ensure connectors are secure and not corroded.
If cleaning and wiring checks do not clear E12, the moisture sensing circuit on the main PCB may be defective and require professional diagnosis.
