Possible Causes
Open-circuit inlet valve coil, Broken wiring to inlet valve, Faulty control PCB output to valve, Burnt inlet valve connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and close water taps before working on the inlet valve.
- Step 1 – Confirm water supply: Ensure water pressure is present at the hose ends by briefly opening them into a bucket.
- Step 2 – Access inlet valve: Remove the top cover and locate the inlet valve assembly at the rear. Inspect the connector for burning or looseness.
- Step 3 – Test valve coil: Disconnect the wiring and measure resistance across each valve coil. An infinite reading indicates a failed coil; replace the inlet valve assembly.
- Step 4 – Check wiring harness: Trace the wires back to the main PCB, looking for breaks or damage.
If the valve and wiring are good but E17 remains, the control PCB may not be energizing the valve and should be checked by a technician.
