Possible Causes
Open or shorted wash NTC sensor, Open or shorted dryer NTC sensor, Loose NTC wiring, Control PCB sensor input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before testing sensors.
- Step 1 – Identify which function fails: Note whether the error occurs during washing, drying, or both. This helps locate the correct NTC (wash tub or dryer duct).
- Step 2 – Access NTC sensor: For wash NTC, remove rear panel and locate sensor near the heater on the tub. For dryer NTC, access the air duct near the dryer heater.
- Step 3 – Test resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare with Gram specifications; a reading of near 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a faulty sensor.
- Step 4 – Inspect wiring: Ensure connectors are tight and wires are not damaged.
If a new NTC does not resolve E19, the control PCB may have a defective sensor input circuit.
