Possible Causes
Faulty dryer NTC sensor, Loose or corroded sensor connector, Broken sensor wiring, Main PCB sensor input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before accessing the dryer components.
- Locate the dryer NTC: The dryer temperature sensor is typically mounted on the air duct or heater housing. Remove the top or rear panel to access it.
- Inspect connections: Check that the sensor plug is fully seated and that wires are not damaged or pinched.
- Test sensor resistance: Using a multimeter, measure the NTC resistance at room temperature and compare with Haier specifications. A reading of near 0 Ω (short) or infinite (open) indicates a bad sensor.
- Replace sensor if faulty: Install a new Haier-compatible dryer NTC sensor and secure it firmly to the duct or heater housing.
- Call a technician: If a new sensor does not clear E14, the main PCB analog input circuit may be defective and require professional replacement.
