Possible Causes
Blocked pressure hose from tub to sensor, Faulty water level (pressure) sensor, Air leak in pressure hose, Wiring fault to main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing covers or handling wiring.
- Locate the pressure sensor: Remove the top panel. The water level sensor is usually a round or rectangular device with a small rubber hose connected to the bottom and a wiring connector on top.
- Inspect the pressure hose: Follow the hose from the sensor to the outer tub. Check for kinks, cracks, or disconnections. Remove the hose and blow through it to ensure it is clear of soap residue or lint.
- Check for water in the hose: Any water trapped in the pressure hose can cause false readings. Shake out water and dry the hose before reinstalling.
- Reseat electrical connector: Disconnect and reconnect the sensor plug to clean contacts. Inspect for corrosion or burned pins.
- Test operation: Reassemble, plug in, and run a rinse/spin cycle. If E7 returns, the sensor may be faulty and should be replaced.
- Call a technician: If a new sensor and hose do not resolve the issue, the main PCB analog input circuit may be defective and requires professional service.
