Safety first: Do not force the door open with tools; you may damage the lock or glass. Unplug the unit before attempting manual release.

• Wait a few minutes: Some models delay unlocking after heating or spinning. Wait 2–5 minutes to see if it unlocks automatically.
• Check for water in drum: If water remains, run a drain-only or spin cycle. A full drum will keep the door locked.
• Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then plug back in and try to unlock.
• Manual release: Many Haier combos have a manual door lock release near the pump filter area (a pull cord or lever). Access the filter door, locate the release, and gently pull to unlock.
