Washer-dryer does not fill with water, cycle will not start, E1 displayed on panel

Safety first: Unplug the washer-dryer combo and close the water supply taps before working on hoses or valves.

• Check water supply: Ensure both hot and cold taps (if equipped) are fully open and household water pressure is adequate. Try another faucet in the home to confirm pressure.
• Inspect inlet hoses: Pull the unit forward, close taps, then disconnect the inlet hoses from the rear of the Hisense combo. Check for kinks, crushing, or internal collapse. Straighten or replace if damaged.
• Clean inlet filters: At the connection points on the Hisense water inlet valve, remove the small mesh filters with needle-nose pliers. Rinse under running water and brush off debris. Reinstall carefully.
• Test a quick fill: Reconnect hoses, open taps, plug in the unit, and run a quick wash. If E1 persists and you hear no valve humming, the inlet valve assembly may be faulty.
• Advanced check (for experienced DIYers): With power disconnected, remove the top cover, locate the Hisense water inlet valve assembly, and check coil resistance with a multimeter. If open-circuit or burned, replace the complete water inlet valve assembly.
