Washer-dryer does not drain water, drum remains full, E2 displayed

Safety first: Unplug the appliance. Water may spill when opening the filter—have towels and a shallow tray ready.

• Access the pump filter: On most Hisense washer-dryer combos, the drain pump filter is behind a small lower front access panel. Open it and locate the round filter cap.
• Drain residual water: If equipped with an emergency drain hose, pull it out and drain into a tray. Otherwise, slowly loosen the filter cap to let water out gradually.
• Clean the filter: Remove the filter completely and clear lint, coins, buttons, and debris. Check inside the pump housing for obstructions around the impeller.
• Inspect the drain hose: Check the rear drain hose for kinks, crushing, or blockage. Detach from the standpipe and flush with water if needed.
• Test the pump: Refit the filter securely, reconnect hoses, plug in the unit, and run a drain or spin cycle. Listen for the pump running. If it hums but does not pump, or is silent, the pump motor may be defective.
• Advanced repair: If the pump is faulty, remove the rear or bottom panel (depending on model), disconnect wiring and hoses from the Hisense drain pump, and replace it with an OEM Hisense drain pump assembly.

If you smell burning or see signs of overheating at the pump, stop using the machine and call a professional.
