Possible Causes
Leaking door gasket, Loose hose clamp inside Hisense combo, Cracked tub or pump housing, Activated float switch in base tray
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance and turn off water supply immediately if a leak is suspected.
- Check for visible leaks: Look around the front door, detergent drawer, and rear hoses for dripping water.
- Inspect base tray: Carefully tilt the machine slightly backward and look underneath for water in the base tray. If present, a float switch may have triggered E23.
- Dry the base: If safe to do so, remove the rear or side panel and soak up water from the base tray with towels. Do not ignore the source of the leak.
- Identify leak source: Run a short fill cycle while observing internal hoses, the pump, and the tub-to-pump hose. Tighten hose clamps and replace any cracked hoses or a damaged Hisense door gasket.
- Test again: Once leaks are repaired and the base is dry, plug in and test. If E23 persists, the float switch or wiring may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
