Possible Causes

Faulty tachometer coil on Hisense motor, Loose tachometer connector, Damaged motor wiring harness, Defective motor control circuit on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the motor or control board.

  • Check for overload: Remove some items and try a smaller load. Overloading can cause unstable speed feedback.
  • Inspect motor connections: Remove the rear panel, locate the drive motor, and inspect the multi-pin connector and wiring harness. Reseat the connector and look for damaged insulation.
  • Check tachometer (advanced): On the rear of the motor is a small tachometer coil. With a multimeter, measure resistance across its terminals (typically a few hundred ohms). An open circuit indicates a failed tachometer; replace the Hisense drive motor assembly.
  • Control board: If the tachometer tests good and wiring is intact, the motor control section of the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.

Because this involves motor control electronics, professional diagnosis is recommended if basic checks do not resolve E8.
