Possible Causes

Stuck-open Hisense water inlet valve, Blocked pressure hose or faulty pressure sensor, Siphoning due to incorrect drain hose installation, Main PCB misreading level signal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance immediately if water is overflowing. Shut off water supply taps.

  • Check drain hose installation: Ensure the drain hose is not inserted too far into the standpipe and that the standpipe height meets Hisense specifications. Incorrect installation can cause siphoning and confuse the level system.
  • Inspect inlet valves: With water taps closed and machine unplugged, remove the inlet hoses and check for debris. If water continues to flow into the tub when the machine is unplugged and taps are open, the inlet valve is stuck open and must be replaced.
  • Check pressure system: Remove the top cover and inspect the pressure hose and air trap for blockages or disconnection. Clean and reattach as needed.
  • Test after reset: After correcting issues, plug in, open taps, and run a rinse/spin. If E9 reappears without visible cause, the pressure sensor or main PCB may be faulty and should be tested and replaced by a technician.
