Possible Causes
Child lock (control lock) enabled, Faulty Hisense control panel (UI board), Defective start/pause button, Communication issue between UI and main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not attempt to bypass safety interlocks or short buttons.
- Check child lock: Look for a key or lock symbol on the display. Disable the child lock by holding the specified button combination (refer to your Hisense manual, often pressing and holding two buttons for 3–5 seconds).
- Confirm door lock: The machine will not start if the door is not detected as closed. Ensure the door is firmly shut and the lock clicks.
- Try different programs: Select another cycle to rule out a specific program fault.
- Power reset: Unplug for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try again.
- Advanced UI check: If buttons remain unresponsive, the control panel (UI board) or its ribbon cable may be faulty. Access the console, reseat the ribbon cable, and if necessary replace the Hisense control panel assembly.
