Possible Causes
Blocked pressure chamber or hose, Faulty water level pressure switch, Stuck water inlet valve, Wiring fault to pressure switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close water taps before working on the appliance.
- Check for overfilling: If the drum is visibly overfull, manually drain via the pump filter before proceeding.
- Inspect pressure hose: Remove the top cover. Locate the small rubber pressure hose running from the bottom of the tub or pressure chamber to the pressure switch. Check for kinks, splits, or blockages (soap scum, lint).
- Clean pressure chamber: Detach the hose at the tub end and blow through it to clear blockages. If the chamber on the tub is clogged, carefully clean it with warm water and a small brush.
- Test pressure switch: With the hose removed, gently blow into the switch and listen for 1–3 distinct clicks. Use a multimeter to verify contact changes when pressure is applied.
- Check inlet valve: Ensure the water inlet valve is not stuck open. With power off, the valve should not allow water through. If water continues to flow with the machine unplugged, replace the valve immediately.
- Replace faulty parts: If the pressure switch does not click or fails continuity tests, replace it. If the inlet valve leaks or sticks, replace the water inlet valve assembly.
