Possible Causes

Failed dryer fan motor, Blocked air duct or condenser, Loose fan impeller, Wiring fault to fan motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the appliance. Internal metal edges can be sharp; wear gloves.

  • Clean condenser and ducts: Remove the condenser unit (if accessible) and rinse thoroughly to remove lint and scale. Clean all reachable ducts and lint traps.
  • Check fan operation: Start a drying cycle briefly (with panels in place) and listen for the fan. If there is no fan noise, stop the machine and proceed with internal checks.
  • Access fan motor: Remove the top or rear panel to locate the dryer fan housing. Inspect the fan impeller for broken blades or obstructions.
  • Test fan motor: With power off, spin the fan by hand; it should rotate freely. Check motor resistance with a multimeter. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
  • Inspect wiring: Ensure the fan motor connector is secure and wires are intact.
  • Replace fan assembly: If the motor is faulty or the impeller is damaged, replace the complete fan motor assembly.
