Possible Causes
Faulty flow meter (if fitted), Blocked inlet filter, Low water pressure, Wiring fault between flow meter and PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance and close water taps before removing hoses.
- Check water pressure: Confirm adequate water flow at the tap. Low pressure can cause flow errors.
- Clean inlet filters: Remove hoses from the back of the machine and clean the mesh filters in the inlet valve.
- Locate flow meter: Some Hoover models integrate a flow sensor in the inlet valve or in-line with the fill hose inside the machine. Access via the top panel.
- Inspect and test: Check the flow meter for blockages or damage. Verify the wiring connector is secure. If possible, test the sensor output with a multimeter while water flows (requires advanced skills).
- Replace flow meter or valve: If the sensor is faulty or integrated into the valve, replace the complete inlet valve/flow meter assembly.
