Possible Causes
Faulty NTC sensor (wash or dryer), Faulty pressure sensor, Short or open in sensor wiring, Defective ADC circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before testing sensors.
- Identify sensors: Check both wash NTC (on tub or heater), dryer NTC (in air duct), and electronic pressure sensor (if fitted).
- Test NTCs: Measure resistance at room temperature and compare to Hoover specifications. Replace any sensor that is open, shorted, or out of range.
- Inspect wiring: Follow the harness from each sensor to the PCB. Look for pinched, broken, or corroded wires and connectors.
- Pressure sensor check: For electronic pressure sensors, ensure the pressure hose is clear and properly attached. Replace the sensor if readings are erratic (requires service data).
- PCB diagnosis: If all sensors and wiring are good, the analog input circuit on the PCB may be defective and the board will need replacement.
