Possible Causes
Damaged or torn door gasket, Loose door seal retaining band, Blocked door gasket drain holes, Over-foaming from excess detergent
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance and mop up any spilled water to avoid slipping.
- Inspect door gasket: Open the door and carefully examine the rubber seal for tears, holes, or deformation, especially at the bottom.
- Clean gasket: Wipe away lint, coins, and debris. Clear any small drain holes in the gasket lip.
- Check retaining bands: Ensure the inner and outer metal or wire bands are tight and properly seated. Refit or tighten if loose.
- Detergent use: Reduce detergent quantity and use HE (low-suds) detergent suitable for washer-dryers. Over-foaming can cause leaks.
- Replace gasket: If the seal is damaged, remove the retaining bands, pull off the old gasket, and fit a new Hoover-compatible door seal, ensuring correct alignment with tub notches.
