Loose or oxidized ribbon cable between UI and main board, Faulty user interface PCB, Faulty main control board, Moisture ingress into control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before opening the control panel.
- Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes, then reconnect. If F06 returns immediately, continue.
- Inspect control panel connections:
- Remove the top cover.
- Access the front control panel by removing retaining screws/clips.
- Locate the ribbon cable or harness between the display/keyboard PCB and the main control board.
- Disconnect and reconnect the cable several times to clean contacts.
- Check for moisture or corrosion:
- Look for signs of water ingress around the control panel.
- If moisture is present, dry thoroughly and identify the source of leaks (door seal, dispenser, top cover).
- Visual inspection of PCBs:
- Check both UI PCB and main board for burnt components or cracked solder joints.
- If buttons still misbehave: Replace the user interface PCB. If that does not resolve the issue, the main control board may also need replacement.
