How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before working on the door lock.
- Check door closure:
- Ensure the door is fully closed and not obstructed by clothing.
- Inspect the plastic door catch for cracks or wear.
- Inspect door lock:
- Remove the front retaining spring from the door gasket and peel back the seal.
- Access the door lock assembly and check that it is firmly mounted.
- Verify the connector is fully seated and wires are intact.
- Test door lock (for skilled users):
- With the lock removed, check continuity across the lock terminals according to the wiring diagram.
- If the solenoid coil is open or the switch does not change state when actuated, replace the lock.
- If a new lock does not resolve F17: The control board door lock driver circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
