Door will not lock at start of cycle; F17 displayed; you may hear repeated clicking from the door area.

Safety: Unplug the appliance before working on the door lock.

• Check door closure:
  • Ensure the door is fully closed and not obstructed by clothing.
  • Inspect the plastic door catch for cracks or wear.
• Inspect door lock:
  • Remove the front retaining spring from the door gasket and peel back the seal.
  • Access the door lock assembly and check that it is firmly mounted.
  • Verify the connector is fully seated and wires are intact.
• Test door lock (for skilled users):
  • With the lock removed, check continuity across the lock terminals according to the wiring diagram.
  • If the solenoid coil is open or the switch does not change state when actuated, replace the lock.
• If a new lock does not resolve F17: The control board door lock driver circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
