Possible Causes
Failed heating element, Faulty heater relay on PCB, Loose or burnt heater wiring, Faulty NTC sensor causing heater lockout
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance and ensure the tub is cool before accessing the heater.
- Access the heater: Remove the rear panel. The heater is usually mounted in the lower part of the tub with two terminals and an earth connection.
- Check wiring: Inspect heater terminals and wiring for signs of overheating or loose connections. Tighten or replace connectors as needed.
- Test heater element: Disconnect the heater wires and measure resistance across the terminals. Typical values are 20–30 Ω. An open circuit or short to earth indicates a failed element.
- Check NTC sensor: If combined with the heater, verify the NTC as described under F03.
- Board relay: If the heater and NTC are good, the heater relay on the main control board may be stuck or burnt. Inspect the PCB for damage and replace the board if necessary.
