Possible Causes
Transit bolts not removed, Worn suspension dampers, Broken or stretched drum springs, Uneven floor or incorrect leveling
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before tipping or moving it.
- Check transit bolts: Ensure all shipping bolts at the rear of the machine have been removed. Operating with bolts fitted causes severe vibration.
- Level the machine: Adjust the front and rear feet so the washer-dryer is stable and does not rock. Use a spirit level.
- Inspect dampers and springs: Remove the rear or side panels and check the shock absorbers and suspension springs. Replace any leaking or weak dampers and any broken springs with Hotpoint-compatible parts.
- Load distribution: Avoid washing single heavy items; mix large and small items to balance the drum.
