How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before inspection.
- Check drum for objects: Shine a torch through the drum holes and around the door seal. Look for bra wires or other objects protruding.
- Inspect between drum and tub: Gently rotate the drum and listen for scraping. If an object is suspected, it may be retrieved by removing the heater element or sump hose to access the gap.
- Check belt and pulleys: Remove the rear panel and inspect the belt and pulleys for wear or misalignment. Replace worn belts and tighten pulley bolts.
- Motor bearings: If the noise comes from the motor, replace the motor assembly.
