Possible Causes
Blocked or kinked pressure switch hose, faulty water level (pressure) switch, blocked air chamber on tub, wiring fault between pressure switch and control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance and turn off water supply.
- Locate pressure switch: Remove the top cover. The pressure switch is a round plastic device with several wires and a small rubber hose attached.
- Inspect pressure hose: Check the thin rubber hose from the tub air chamber to the pressure switch for kinks, splits, or blockages (soap residue, lint). Remove and blow through it; it should be clear.
- Clean air chamber: At the tub end, the hose connects to a small air chamber. Detach and clean out any sludge or detergent build-up that could block air flow.
- Check switch operation: With the hose attached, gently blow into the pressure switch and listen for clicks. If no click is heard or it sounds stuck, the switch may be faulty and should be replaced with the correct Indesit pressure switch.
- Reassemble and test: Refit hose and wiring securely. Run a test fill cycle and observe water level. If F04 persists, suspect a defective pressure switch or control board.
