Possible Causes
Faulty control panel (UI board), damaged ribbon cable between UI and main PCB, faulty door interlock switch, software communication error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from mains before removing the control panel.
- Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes to reset the electronics. Reconnect and test the buttons.
- Check door lock: Ensure the door closes firmly and the latch engages. A faulty door lock can prevent program start and trigger F06. Listen for a click when starting a cycle.
- Inspect control panel connections: Remove the top cover and the front control fascia (if accessible). Check the ribbon cable between the display/control panel and the main PCB for damage, corrosion, or loose seating. Reseat both ends.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of water ingress behind the control panel (from detergent drawer leaks). Dry thoroughly and correct any leaks.
- Replace faulty components: If specific buttons never respond or the display is erratic despite good connections, replace the user interface board. If the door does not lock, replace the door interlock assembly.
