Possible Causes
Open-circuit dryer heater element, burnt heater terminals, faulty heater relay on PCB, wiring fault to dryer heater
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug and allow the dryer section to cool.
- Locate dryer heater: Typically mounted in a metal duct at the rear or top of the washer-dryer.
- Inspect terminals: Check for burnt or loose connections at the heater. Repair or replace connectors as needed.
- Measure heater resistance: Disconnect the heater and measure across its terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed heater that must be replaced with an Indesit-compatible dryer heater assembly.
- Check thermostats and NTC: Ensure all safety thermostats and the NTC are intact and have continuity where appropriate.
- Control board: If heater and safety devices are good but no power is supplied to the heater during drying, suspect a faulty heater relay on the main PCB.
